Code of Conduct at La Conexion
Welcome to La Conexion! We are committed to creating a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone to enjoy our classes and socials. We ask that all attendees adhere to the following Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in being escorted from the event without a refund and may lead to being prohibited from attending future classes and events.
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone, including studio owners, management, instructors, performers, students, social dancers, and guests.
-
If you witness or experience anything that requires attention, please notify a member of our staff immediately.
-
Treat everyone with courtesy, kindness, and respect.
-
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, bullying, unwanted touching, hate speech, intimidation, or stalking.
-
Always ask someone to dance—never pull or pressure someone onto the dance floor. If someone declines your invitation, please respect their decision. Everyone has the right to accept or decline a dance without explanation.
-
While dancing, be respectful of your partner and their personal boundaries.
-
Respect your partner's personal space. Avoid holding your partner closer than they are comfortable with or touching them inappropriately. At the end of the song, release your partner and thank them for the dance.
-
Drink responsibly. The Code of Conduct applies regardless of alcohol consumption. Anyone whose behavior violates these expectations may be escorted out by management.
-
Experienced dancers are encouraged to adjust to their partner's skill level and enjoy the dance within their partner's comfort and abilities.
-
Do not attempt moves that could place your partner or others at risk of injury.
-
Be mindful of your surroundings, especially as the dance floor becomes more crowded. Help maintain a safe environment by avoiding collisions with other dancers.
-
Beginners are always welcome. Dancing is meant to be enjoyable at every level, and everyone deserves patience, encouragement, and respect.
-
To help promote our classes and events, photos and videos may be taken during classes and socials. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please politely inform the photographer or videographer.
-
Please maintain good personal hygiene, including wearing clean clothing, using deodorant, and practicing good oral hygiene.
Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment where everyone can learn, dance, and have fun.
